six separate contracts into one single solution, and offered a Value for Money bid that negated many different companies and Sub Contractors having responsibility for the Estate. It became very evident during the Bid Process that the Estates Department within the LMU did not have the time to manage so many companies and our solution met the expectation of the Board of Governors.
The request for Tender was based on an Output based specification, and through our innovative approach and IT based solution we built the staffing levels against the required output. This involved reducing the contract by some 400 hours per week, and the implementation of a bespoke Objective Quality Monitoring System. Multi skilling of staff was necessary to meet our objectives and this was achieved by conducting on site training for all staff. The contract is now managed by a Key Account Manager who has total autonomy for the whole Campus. He manages all functions of the contract, from Cleaning to Pest Control to Feminine Hygiene etc. This major step change has been a huge success and our innovative solution has significantly reduced the cost base to the University and contains the discussions to one single Contractor, thus demonstrating our ability to deliver the Single Solution. |

Dynamiq Cleaning Limited has been the service provider to the London Metropolitan University for some 5 years, providing Cleaning and associated services to the North Campus. The University employed some six different companies to deliver the Cleaning Services to the remaining elements of the University estate. In 2006, it was decided by the University that all the estate would be let to one single contractor capable of providing all Cleaning and Ancillary Services to a Higher Education establishment catering for some 35,000 students.
